The best time to start is now! 💪
Hi Everyone! My name Kennis, and I work as a Fitness Coach. During my university degree, I studied in media production, but after covid, I fell in love with the gym and fitness, and I'm now pursuing my dream. Sometimes you might be better off stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something new. I love my job as I can help people reach their goals and gain confidence on the gym floor is something I enjoy doing.
During my free time I like training at the gym and build my gains 💪🤣. I love weight lifting and squats are my favourite weightlifting exercise. I also hang out with my dog, take him on walks to get the average 10-12k steps a day!!

Crystal Kam
Navigating adulthood as a pilates instructor
Hiyaa, I’m Crystal! I was born and raised in HK, but I spent the majority of my academic years in the UK. I graduated from KCL last year with a finance degree and have decided to take this year to explore what I want to pursue in life and my career.

A year ago, I thought I would end up as a finance girl in an investment bank, but fast forward to today, I find myself as a reformer pilates instructor 🧘. Feel free to DM me if you want to join my classes or grab a meal afterward ♥️ (I might not be the best at counting reps, but I promise it’s not intimidating at all hahaha)!
I aspire to be a slasher (FYI someone with multiple roles/occupations) and am currently working on an exciting project (keeping it a secret for now), but I hope to share it with you all when it’s ready. Feel free to follow my little adulting journal @crystalxkam for some sneak peeks, where I document and try to romanticize life post-grad.
As for my true passion….I really can’t tell which one is, as I have many interests and hobbies. Ranging from fitness activities like running (oh anyone else signed up for Hyrox?), to surfing, wine tasting, and photography. If you’re looking for a buddy to explore new adventures together, feel free to connect with me personally @crystallkam! I’m always up for a bar hopping session🍸Speakeasies and bars are literally the only places I’ve saved on my map! And don’t forget to join the “wavewatchers” tribe on Tova if you’re a fan of water activities!🌊🌴

Renee Chow
Journey of a Passionate Explorer: Meet Renee
Hello! I’m Renee, born and raised in the bustling city of Hong Kong. I pursued my studies in Psychology at university in the UK, where I spent five transformative years before returning home. Currently, I’m training to become a Psychology teacher, driven by my passion for the field and a desire to inspire others.

Sports play a significant role in my life. I’ve enjoyed a variety of activities, including horse riding, volleyball, field hockey, and figure skating. These days, I’m focused on spinning and weight training, but I’m always eager to try new sports like Pickleball, Padel, Taekwondo, and Muay Thai.
I love exploring new places around Hong Kong, particularly when it comes to discovering unique restaurants and cafes. Travel is another passion of mine; I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Europe, North America, and Asia, and I dream of exploring even more. My bucket list includes destinations like Tibet, Fiji, Alaska, and Hawaii.

In addition to my active lifestyle, I have creative interests as well. I would like to get back into pottery, enjoy creating perfumes, and I’m an avid tea lover. Each day is an opportunity for new adventures and experiences!

💫 Tova Updates
Tribes
One of our biggest hopes behind Tribes was simple: that by seeing the same people more regularly—while doing something you actually enjoy—real friendships would naturally start to form. And honestly, it’s been so nice to see that happening already.

Since launching in mid-March, a dozen Tribes have popped up—with Pickleball and Golf leading the charge. There’s been an event nearly every week. The Dinkaholics have made Stackd their go-to, cashing in on those post-game Tova Space drinks, while Pedal to the Metal kicked things off strong with their free indoor cycling class at Absolute Fitness.
We’ve loved seeing Tribes spill over into post-match meals, hangs, and chill sessions across our partnered cafés and bars. It's exactly the kind of flow we hoped for—social plans made easier, and more fun, through shared interests.
More Tribe meetups are in the works—Badminton, Tennis, and Golf at the new AGA driving range (yes, the one with the Toptracer 👀). Tova is doing bi-weekly court and bay bookings so it’s that much easier to just show up and play.
Tribes were always about more than just activities. They’re about showing up—consistently, casually, and with people who make it feel easy.
Can’t wait to see what this all grows into. And yes, co-hosted events with Tribes + Tova are on the horizon — stay tuned 😉
💭Food For Thought
Psychologists say it takes approximately 50 hours of shared time to turn an acquaintance into a real friend. Closeness comes from proximity and repetition.
Look out for our next edition of Tova Threads #14! We’ll showcase more of our amazing community. Stay Tuned!
